Jeremy Pichon’s story did not begin in a law school classroom. It began in Slidell, Louisiana, where he grew up the son and grandson of veterans. His mother, who was raised in the St. Bernard housing projects of New Orleans, is his hero. She taught him the values he carries into every courtroom: care for all people, no matter where they come from.
By age 14, Jeremy was spending his summers framing houses in the hot Louisiana sun. By 16, he was working the Sears stockroom while going to school full time. By 19, he joined the military reserves, following in the footsteps of his brothers, father, and grandfathers — whose combined service to this country stretches from World War I to Operation Iraqi Freedom.

25 Years of Distinguished Military Service — Retired Major, U.S. Army JAG Corps
Before he was a trial lawyer, Jeremy Pichon was a soldier.
Mr. Pichon proudly served in the Louisiana Army National Guard for 25 years, retiring at the rank of Major in the Judge Advocate General (JAG) Corps. His military career began in 1999 when he enlisted as a financial specialist with the 469th Finance Group in New Orleans. In 2003, he deployed to Kuwait as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom, where he managed hundreds of millions of dollars in U.S. cash and foreign currency on behalf of the U.S. Army.
In 2010, Mr. Pichon commissioned as a JAG Corps officer after attending the Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center and School in Charlottesville, Virginia. During his military legal career he served in multiple roles including Trial Counsel, Operational Law Attorney, Regional Trial Defense Counsel, and ultimately Brigade Judge Advocate — where he provided legal advice to senior commanders on matters of administrative law, operational law, and military justice.
After 25 years of service, Mr. Pichon retired from the U.S. Army having earned the Army Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal, among other honors.
His military experience fundamentally shapes how he practices law. In his own words:
“Approaching trial is like preparing for a military operation — you have your objectives, targets, and goals. You have to have contingency plans in place in case something goes wrong at trial, and you always have to be prepared to adjust fire.”
Education and Legal Career
After earning his undergraduate degree from Loyola University New Orleans, Mr. Pichon went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge — a historically Black university — graduating in 2008. He was admitted to the Louisiana State Bar that same year and has been a licensed attorney in Louisiana ever since.
Early in his legal career, Mr. Pichon gained invaluable experience clerking at the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office and working alongside trial teams at Alvendia, Kelly & Demarest, LLC — one of New Orleans’ leading civil litigation firms — where he participated in high-profile class action lawsuits and complex civil jury trials that resulted in hundreds of millions of dollars in recovery for clients. That experience — being part of hundreds of trials in less than six years — laid the foundation for the skilled, preparation-obsessed attorney he is today.
